Situation
Liberty Oilfield Services provides specialized stimulation services that help optimize well production. Operating a fleet of 100 service units powered by MTU engines, the company wanted to identify a solution that could enhance fleet efficiency and productivity. To help achieve this, the company approached ExxonMobil to identify a lubricant solution capable of extending oil drain intervals and reducing oil consumption.
Solution
After conducting an optimization study, ExxonMobil engineers recommended the company use Mobil DelvacTM Extreme 15W-40 high performance diesel engine oil. A premium synthetic blend diesel engine oil formulated with a boosted additive system**, Mobil Delvac Extreme 15W-40 diesel engine oil provides excellent wear protection and exceptional oxidation stability*** that can help operators improve performance for up to double OEM recommended ODIs****. In addition, ExxonMobil engineers recommended implementing routine Mobil ServSM Lubricant Analysis to monitor oil and engine condition once oil drain intervals are extended.
Results
After using Mobil DelvacTM Extreme 15W-40 diesel engine oil, Liberty Oilfield Services safely extended oil drain intervals across its fleet from 750 hours to 1,500 hours and reduced oil consumption by 10,400 gallons. As a result, the company experienced enhanced productivity and safety benefits, generating company-estimated savings of US $135,200.

Priding itself on its reliable service, the company recognizes the importance of enhancing productivity and keeping its fleet of 184 trucks on the road for as long as possible. In an effort to further enhance productivity, the company approached ExxonMobil to identify a lubricant solution capable of extending oil drain intervals.
Solution
After assessing fleet details and conducting a full oil drain interval optimization assessment, ExxonMobil engineers recommended switching to Mobil DelvacTM 1300 Super 10W-30 heavy duty diesel engine oil. Results
After converting all 184 of its vehicles to Mobil Delvac 1300 Super 10W-30 diesel engine oil, Bancroft & Sons experienced extended oil drain intervals from 40,000 miles to 60,000 miles, as well as reduced oil consumption. As a result, the company was able to improve productivity and enhance operational efficiency, generating company-estimated savings of US $127,328.
